eIDAS bodies in Estonia
Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs (participation in eIDAS legislative, designates the responsible authorities, and provides funding for the tasks)
Information System Authority (Supervisory Body responsible for carrying out the supervisory tasks that are set out in the eIDAS Regulation)
- Conducting assessments regarding the qualified status of trust services and issuing operating licenses for the provision of such services pursuant to Articles 24 and 25 of the eIDAS Regulation;
- Managing the national trusted list of Estonian trust service providers, in accordance with Article 22 of the eIDAS Regulation;
- Supervising notified trust service providers to ensure their ongoing compliance with the applicable eIDAS requirements set out in Chapter IV of the eIDAS Regulations;
- Collecting, analysing and addressing security incidents, and reporting such incidents to the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity -ENISA as required Article 19 of the eIDAS Regulation;
- Developing and maintaining the technical solutions and platforms necessary to enable both domestic and cross-border access to e-services, in line with Article 6 and 7 of the eIDAS Regulation
